About this Item

height: 72cm; width: 73cm; depth: 58cm
Provenance
Die Oude Bakery, Tulbagh.
Private Collection.
Notes
The revival of the Classical style was the consequence of the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii. The heavy, turned 18th century style was replaced by simple and elegant forms which can be seen in the tapered leg and clean straight lines of this table.
