the triangular moulded top above a pair of glazed panel doors enclosing two shelves with an inlaid closing strip, flanked by chamfered corners inlaid with vertical yellowwood banding, raised on inlaid spade feet

Notes
This corner cupboard is a good example of Cape country Neo-classicism. The uninterrupted straight lines, architectural design features, inlay and spade foot are all characteristic of this style period.
The inlaid spade foot, also known as a 'Riversdale' foot, is a regional feature used by carpenters on cupboards in the south western Cape district.
