of baluster form with a domed cover surmounted by a lion finial, decorated in underglaze blue with figural scenes of scholars and attendants, the shoulder with diaper and floral borders, the neck with scrolling foliage, the cover similarly decorated

Notes
The figural decoration reflects literati themes, depicting scholars and attendants engaged in various pursuits. The Kangxi mark is apocryphal, typical of 19th century wares produced in homage to the celebrated Kangxi period, 1662–1722.
