decorated in underglaze blue with a river landscape enclosed by a stylised foliate and scroll border, the rim with a brown-dressed edge, and the exterior plain
height: 4cm; diameter: 23cm
Notes
The landscape reflects an idealised river scene, a recurring theme in Chinese export porcelain. The neatly structured composition and decorative border are characteristic of later 18th century wares, where designs became more formalised and controlled.
