About this Item

Bronze and frosted glass occasional table, England

height: 72,5cm; diameter: 45,5cm
Notes
This table exemplifies Lane's innovative and sculptural approach to furniture design. The combination of thick sandblasted glass with hand-forged metal, produces work that appears both monumental and ethereal.
Glass lies at the heart of Lane's practice. Rather than treating it as a fragile material, he exploits its structural strength, optical depth and ability to manipulate light.
