Domaine Grier is the Roussillon estate of the Grier family, the South Africans behind the acclaimed Villiera in Stellenbosch. Set in the valley of Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet on decomposed schist, it makes characterful, well-priced wines from old Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Maccabeu. This is its Alba cuvée. 2017 was a warm southern French vintage.
