About this Item
Domaine Jamet is one of the great names of Côte-Rôtie in the northern Rhône, revered for its perfumed, structured Syrah grown across dozens of parcels on the appellation's steep schist slopes. Vernillon is its Condrieu, a rare and aromatic Viognier introduced in 2015, from the steep granite terraces of the appellation. 2019 is one of the northern Rhône's most acclaimed recent vintages. Joe Czerwinski from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it a rating of 93, and Tom Parker MW reviewed it for JancisRobinson.com.

"A remarkably consistent wine since its introduction in 2015, the 2019 Condrieu Vernillon is a bit more honeyed and richer than the 2020, delivering more apricot, white peach and ripe pear flavors. Medium to full-bodied, it's mouth coating, but it avoids being overly rich or heavy, finishing with vibrant, zingy freshness." - Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 93/100 (Jan 2022)
"Showing the most typicality of the three in this vertical, the palate is broad with peaches and cream. Apricot jam, mango and passion-fruit curd all on show on a broad, almost fat palate. Fruit punch dominates on this intense wine that will please lovers of Condrieu's flamboyance." - Tom Parker MW, JancisRobinson.com (Oct 2022)
