About this Item
Château d'Angludet is a respected Margaux estate, long owned by the Sichel family, who are also part-owners of Château Palmer. Though ranked only a cru bourgeois, its fragrant, classically Margaux reds have a following well above that station. 1982 is one of the greatest vintages in Bordeaux history. Neal Martin from Vinous gave it a rating of 91, and Jancis Robinson gave it 16 out of 20.

Critics Ratings
"The 1982 d'Angludet is a vintage that I have not tasted before. Showing less evolution in hue than expected, it has a slightly ferrous nose that's a little rustic in style yet retains admirable vigor. The palate has a melted quality, fleshy and quite deep, with plenty of truffle-infused black fruit tones. It gently builds toward a plummy finish. This is not complex yet very satisfying. It will not improve with bottle age, but well-kept bottles should be sought out." - Neal Martin, Vinous, 91/100 (Sep 2022)
"Fragrantly scented. Definitely Margaux. Drank beautifully with sweet green pea ravioli prepared by Josiah Citron at Melisse." - Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 16/20 (Sep 2005)
