About this Item
Château Cantemerle is a Fifth Growth of the Haut-Medoc, in the southern Medoc at Macau, long admired for its perfumed, elegant and approachable style. 2001 was a charming, consistent and well-balanced Bordeaux vintage. Jancis Robinson gave it 16 out of 20, and Robert M. Parker Jr. reviewed it for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

Critics Ratings
"Broad and rich and nuanced. At its peak now. Lots of bloody fruit. Very sweet, toasty and appetising. Perhaps not for the most fastidious purist but it certainly hits the spot for most." - Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 16/20 (Jul 2012)
"Medium dark ruby-colored, with an elegant perfume of raisins, red currants, dried herbs, and melted licorice, Cantemerle's 2001 possesses sweet tannin, medium body, and a light but nicely etched style." - Robert M. Parker Jr., Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jun 2004)
