Klein Constantia is the historic Constantia estate south of Cape Town, and Vin de Constance is its revival of the legendary eighteenth-century sweet Muscat de Frontignan once prized by Napoleon and the courts of Europe. Unfortified and naturally sweet, made from late-harvested, partly raisined Muscat and bottled in its distinctive flacon, it is South Africa's most celebrated dessert wine. The 2007 is regarded as one of the finest Vin de Constance vintages. Julia Harding MW gave it 18 out of 20, Neal Martin from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it a rating of 97, and James Molesworth from Wine Spectator gave it a rating of 95.
