Bouchard Père et Fils

Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots 2017

A unique opportunity to acquire wines that define Burgundy’s legacy
About the Session

These wines have been sourced directly from the ancient 15th Century cellars of Bouchard Père et Fils. They were imported into South Africa in March 2026 by Great Domaines via refrigerated container (reefer), ensuring optimal preservation throughout transit. These historic bottles, among the last remaining examples from the 20th and early 21st centuries, represent some of the Domaine’s most important cuvées. Fine vintages across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune back to 1972 have been selected, checked and captured on the Bouchard database, with a dedicated neck proof tag confirming their recent release from the Bouchard cellars. Bottles from the 2009 vintage and older were also waxed in anticipation of their recent release.

About this Item

Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots 2017
1 (1 x 1) 750ml
The 2017 Côte de Nuits harvest was defined by severely reduced yields following dramatic spring frosts, yet the small quantities that achieved full ripeness produced wines of exceptional precision, aromatic purity and structured elegance across the finest Premier Cru vineyards of Chambolle-Musigny. Bouchard Père & Fils' 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots earned 17 points from Richard Hemming MW at JancisRobinson.com. Les Noirots is a Premier Cru vineyard of Chambolle-Musigny situated at the northern boundary of the village towards the Grand Cru of Bonnes-Mares, its limestone and clay soils producing wines that combine the characteristic feminine elegance of Chambolle with additional body and power drawn from proximity to one of the Côte de Nuits' most muscular and celebrated Grand Crus. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged 12 to 14 months in French oak with 40 to 50% new barrels.

Critics Ratings

“Fresh and vibrant with good definition to the red cherry fruit and nicely integrated oak spice. Length too – this is conventional but expressive.” - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Jan 2019)
