Bouchard Père et Fils

Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots 2014

A unique opportunity to acquire wines that define Burgundy’s legacy
About the Session

These wines have been sourced directly from the ancient 15th Century cellars of Bouchard Père et Fils. They were imported into South Africa in March 2026 by Great Domaines via refrigerated container (reefer), ensuring optimal preservation throughout transit. These historic bottles, among the last remaining examples from the 20th and early 21st centuries, represent some of the Domaine’s most important cuvées. Fine vintages across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune back to 1972 have been selected, checked and captured on the Bouchard database, with a dedicated neck proof tag confirming their recent release from the Bouchard cellars. Bottles from the 2009 vintage and older were also waxed in anticipation of their recent release.

About this Item

Chambolle-Musigny Les Noirots 2014
2 (1 x 2) 750ml
The 2014 Côte de Nuits harvest produced wines of exceptional purity, fine mineral precision and classical structure, a vintage of notable freshness and genuine longevity that stands as one of the most elegantly composed and characterful efforts of the decade for Pinot Noir across the finest Premier Cru vineyards of the Côte d'Or. Les Noirots is a Premier Cru vineyard of Chambolle-Musigny situated at the northern boundary of the village towards the powerful Grand Cru of Bonnes-Mares, its limestone and clay soils producing wines that combine the characteristic feminine elegance of Chambolle with additional body and power, the entire 2.85 hectares of the appellation among the most consistently admired of the village's Premiers Crus. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged 12 to 14 months in French oak with 40 to 50% new barrels.

Critics Ratings

“Pure aromas of crushed strawberries and citrus follow through to a medium body, silky tannins and a tangy finish. Bright and fruity. Vibrant energy.” - James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com (Apr 2017)
