Bouchard Père et Fils

Le Corton 2015

A unique opportunity to acquire wines that define Burgundy’s legacy
About the Session

These wines have been sourced directly from the ancient 15th Century cellars of Bouchard Père et Fils. They were imported into South Africa in March 2026 by Great Domaines via refrigerated container (reefer), ensuring optimal preservation throughout transit. These historic bottles, among the last remaining examples from the 20th and early 21st centuries, represent some of the Domaine’s most important cuvées. Fine vintages across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune back to 1972 have been selected, checked and captured on the Bouchard database, with a dedicated neck proof tag confirming their recent release from the Bouchard cellars. Bottles from the 2009 vintage and older were also waxed in anticipation of their recent release.

About this Item

Le Corton 2015
3 (1 x 3) 750ml
The 2015 Côte de Beaune harvest produced wines of exceptional concentration, ripe aromatic richness and structured generosity, a vintage of broad appeal and considerable cellaring potential that stands as one of the finest in recent Burgundy history for red Pinot Noir across the hill of Corton. Bouchard Père & Fils' 2015 Le Corton earned 17 points from Richard Hemming MW at JancisRobinson.com. Le Corton is the historic Grand Cru vineyard that gave the Corton appellation its name, the only red Grand Cru on the Côte de Beaune, with Bouchard Père & Fils farming 3.20 hectares of limestone and clay soils at the summit of the hill since 1909, a position of singular elevation and exposition that produces wines of rare mineral depth and complexity. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged 12 to 14 months in French oak with 40 to 50% new barrels.

Critics Ratings

“Very tight red fruit with a touch of gloss paint on the aroma – volatile acidity? Fragrant and floral on the length. Lots of personality, though perhaps not entirely stable – hence relatively short drinking window.” - Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17/20 (Jan 2017)
