Les Lavières is the most celebrated Premier Cru vineyard of Savigny-lès-Beaune, its stony, well-drained limestone soils producing wines of genuine character, fine aromatic complexity and the kind of structural precision that has earned this relatively modest appellation a reputation for exceptional quality among the most discerning collectors of red Burgundy. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged 12 to 14 months in French oak with 30 to 40% new barrels.
