About this Item
Aloxe-Corton 2019
6 (1 x 6) 750ml
The 2019 Côte de Beaune harvest produced wines of exceptional ripeness, opulent fruit concentration and generous, approachable character, a warmly received vintage of broad appeal and early pleasure that also possesses the structural depth for continued rewarding development over the medium term. Bouchard Père & Fils' 2019 Aloxe-Corton represents the estate's holdings in the most celebrated village at the foot of the hill of Corton, producing wines of genuine Premier Cru character from the same exceptional limestone and clay terroir that supports the great Grand Crus of Le Corton and Corton-Charlemagne immediately above. Aloxe-Corton is the gateway village to the hill of Corton, its vineyards traced to the 2nd century BC, giving its name to one of the most celebrated and historically resonant appellations of the entire Côte de Beaune and producing wines of deep colour, fine structure and notable aromatic richness that reward those with the patience to allow them their natural development. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged in French oak.
Provenance
These wines have been sourced directly from the ancient 15th Century cellars of Bouchard Père et Fils. They were imported into South Africa in March 2026 by Great Domaines via refrigerated container (reefer), ensuring optimal preservation throughout transit.
