About this Item
The 2007 Côte de Beaune harvest produced wines of fine aromatic purity, genuine elegance and early accessibility, a vintage that has held up admirably and continues to offer rewarding and engaging drinking at the current stage of its pleasing development. Bouchard Père & Fils' 2007 Beaune Clos de la Mousse is a monopole of Bouchard Père & Fils within the appellation of Beaune, its earliest recorded trace dating to 1220 when it was bequeathed to the church of Notre-Dame de Beaune, with the entire 3.36 hectares of this distinguished and historically resonant Premier Cru consolidated by the Domaine in 1872. The wine is produced from 100% Pinot Noir, aged 12 to 14 months in French oak with 30 to 40% new barrels.

Critics Ratings
“Bold brush strokes characterize this wine, the fruit a complex mélange of red berries, acidity and weight. The wine has good density, offering a strawberry jam character to go with the fresh edge. Tannins are enveloped in the fruits, promising medium-term aging.” - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100
