A group of three Chinese porcelain figures depicting Taoist immortals, Kangxi period, 1662-1722
Notes
A group of three Taoist Immortals, each seated on an octagonal plinth and decorated in famille verte enamels of green, aubergine, black and iron-red. The robes are embellished with cranes, blossoms and symbolic motifs associated with longevity and spiritual virtue. The figures show provincial Qing workmanship with expressive features and pooled glazes. Two bear early British antique dealer/export labels, indicating early 20th-century collection history.
