Notes
Painted in underglaze cobalt blue with loose, impressionistic floral motifs, typical of early Arita workshop production and distinct from the sharper precision of Chinese contemporaries. The form with the short spout and wire swing-handelling reflects the utilitarian domestic use in the Edo period.
