Notes
A very rare famille rose cup and saucer decorated with the arms of the Dutch East India Company and the Latin motto Concordia Res Parvae Crescunt (“Small things grow in harmony”). Both pieces bear the VOC monogram. The refined enamelling, pink palette and gold oxide typical of famille rose decoration indicate production during the Yongzheng period.
