A Chinese blue and white porcelain tureen stand, Qianlong period, 1736-1795
height: 4,5cm; width: 36cm; depth: 28,5cm
Notes
Of canted rectangular form, decorated in the centre with feathery chrysanthemum sprays, encircled by a diaper band to the deep well and an elaborate border to the everted rim. Chrysanthemum decoration is traditionally associated with longevity and endurance in Chinese decorative arts.
