the shaped marble top with three-quarter gallery above a pair of panelled cupboard doors enclosing an interior with a marble base above a single frieze drawer and shaped apron, raised on cabriole legs with ormolu sabot mounts, parquetry veneer throughout
height: 78cm; width: 44cm; depth: 32cm
Notes
This cabinet derives its form from 18th-century French Louis XV furniture. This type of furniture is characterised by flowing lines, serpentine fronts and elegant cabriole legs which reflect the Rococo taste that dominated the decorative arts at this time.
