the rectangular top with chevron parquetry within a crossbanded border, above a single inlaid long frieze drawer fitted with brass hardware, raised on tapering square-section legs terminating in brass-capped spade feet

Notes
This table reflects the Edwardian revival of late 18th-century English design, particularly reminiscent of Sheraton design form. The refined proportions and delicate inlay, typical of this period, give this table a restrained elegance which replaced the previously heavier Victorian aesthetic.
