a shallow dish decorated in underglaze blue with a sinuous dragon writhing amongst stylised cloud scrolls, the exterior with further cloud motifs
height: 4,5cm; diameter: 23,5cm
Notes
The dragon, emblematic of power, strength and protection, is depicted in a dynamic and fluid composition. The confident brushwork and balanced use of space highlight the decorative clarity typical of blue and white porcelain produced for both domestic and export markets.
