of shallow circular form, decorated in underglaze blue with a central garden scene featuring birds in flight amongst flowering plants and rocks, within a panelled diaper border, the rim with geometric and stylised motifs, the exterior plain
height: 2,5cm; diameter: 23,5cm
Notes
The finely rendered decoration reflects the more delicate and controlled aesthetic of the Qianlong period, where compositions became increasingly refined. The combination of birds and flowering plants conveys harmony and seasonal abundance, a common theme in 18th century porcelain.
