A chinese blue and white circular dish, Kangxi period 1662-1722
of shallow circular form, decorated in underglaze blue with a central scene of fish amidst aquatic plants, the cavetto with panelled reserves enclosing floral and auspicious motifs, the exterior plain.
height: 6cm; diameter: 26cm
Notes
The panelled border reflects transitional decorative schemes, combining naturalistic and stylised elements typical of late 17th to early 18th century blue and white wares.
