of shallow circular form, decorated in underglaze blue with a central garden scene featuring a willow tree, flowering plants and a bridge, enclosed by a diaper band, the rim with dense floral and scrollwork borders, the exterior plain
height: 2,5cm; diameter: 23,5cm
Notes
The garden scene reflects themes of harmony and cultivated nature, commonly found in Kangxi-period porcelain. The richly decorated border, combining floral sprays and scrolling motifs, is characteristic of export wares, where more elaborate designs were favoured.
