About this Item
Victorian walnut and marble inlaid credenza, 19th century

Notes
Credenzas are different from sideboards in that they were not only functional storage units but also decorative focal points. They became essential showpieces in mid to late Victorian dining rooms, used to display porcelain, glass and silver. The mirrored doors were designed to amplify the space and signalled refinement and modernity.
