A Japanese black, gilt and red lacquer teapot, 18th/19th century
the cylindrical body with lotus flower and scrolling tendrils, the side applied with a loop handle, fitted spout guard, the interior in red lacquer, with conforming cover, raised on three bracket feet, chips, 16,4cm high; and a Japanese black, gilt and red lacquer covered bowl, 18th/19th century, the ovoid body decorated with chrysanthemums amongst scrolling foliage, red lacquer interior, the conforming cover with compressed circular finial, raised on a low foot, chips, 9,9cm high
