Five Japanese ivory carvings of animals, Meiji period, 1868-1912 comprising: a reclining tiger, its stripes stained dark and eyes inlaid, signed; a seated shi shi and her pup, with fierce expression, one paw on a ball; a recumbent cow, with a rope halter passing over its back, with inlaid eyes; a seated shi shi clutching a ball, with turned head and mouth agape, with black highlights, signed; and a wooden shi shi scratching its neck, with inlaid eyes and animated expression, signed, the wooden shi shi 5,7cm long
