A Japanese cloisonné enamel silver wire koro, in the manner of the Hayashi Kodenji workshop, Meiji period, 1868-1912 in the form of an archaic bronze, worked in silver wire and various coloured enamels with two cartouches enclosing pheasants before a waterscape and finches amongst flowers and trees, the sides with smaller shaped cartouches each enclosing a phoenix, against a diaper ground, the shoulders with flowerheads and scrolling foliage against a black ground and applied with a pair of geometric-shaped handles, with silver-gilt liner, raised on three incorporated feet, one foot damaged, lacking cover, 20,5cm high
