Critics Ratings
"Now bottled under screwcap (which might scare traditionalists a bit) this is a Merlot dominated Bordeaux blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller amounts of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It's a big wine, but the oak is well integrated, with fine tannins and blackcurrant leaf and graphite notes." - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2017, 91/100 (Sep 2017)
"5-way Bordeaux blend, with merlot (52%) & cab (41%) in the lead in 2015. Deep colour, classic cigarbox aromas. There's power, though the 14.7% alcohol is balanced – while adding to the sweetness of ripe, pure fruit (the finish fairly dry). Good intensity & depth." - Platter's South African Wine Guide 2018, 4.5 stars (92/100)
