each with a moulded circular tray top above a barley-twist and hexagonal tapering column terminating in a central turned finial, raised on tripod cabriole legs

Notes

A gueridon is an occasional stand that originated in France, its purpose being to hold a candlestick or vase. Gueridons featured in Cape inventories as early as the 18th century.
