Cape stinkwood and beefwood armoire, 18th century
the arched moulded pediment above a pair of conforming panelled doors and sides enclosing two shelves, the lower section with three long linen-fold and inlaid drawers, raised on ball-and-claw feet, fitted with brass handles and escutcheons restorations

Notes
The gabled pediment and linen-fold drawers are typical characteristics of Baroque armoires. The decorative technique of linenfold was adopted in the Baroque and Rococo periods and refers to the carving designed to imitate the look of folded linen.
