Notes
Each cup and saucer is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with dense floral scrollwork, featuring stylised blossoms and foliate sprays arranged in repeating bands. The saucers are painted with central roundels of scrolling floral motifs framed by patterned borders. This style of decoration is characteristic of Kangxi blue and white wares produced for both domestic and export markets, reflecting the growing European taste for Chinese porcelain during the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
