Louis XV style carved mahogany console table, 19th century
the quarter-veneered rectangular-shaped top above a shaped frieze centred by a carved shell cartouche, raised on cabriole legs joined by a serpentine stretcher with a central foliate carving, terminating in hoof feet
height: 74cm; width: 105cm; depth: 60cm
Notes
The serpentine front apron, central shell cartouche, cabriole legs, and overall fluidity and asymmetry are all hallmarks of the Rococo style period.
