of shallow circular form, decorated in underglaze blue with a central garden scene featuring a willow tree, flowering plants and a bridge, enclosed by a diaper band, the rim with dense floral and scrollwork borders, the exterior plain
height: 3cm; diameter: 24cm
Notes
The garden scene reflects themes of harmony and cultivated nature, commonly found in Kangxi period porcelain. The richly decorated border, combining floral sprays and scrolling motifs, is characteristic of export wares, where more elaborate designs were favoured.
