About this Item
Notes
Otto Brauer was a Danish designer best known for his iconic bottle-form vases created for Holmegaard Glassworks in the early 1960s. His design style was minimalist, bold saturated colour with elegant proportions.
Holmegaard glassworks was founded in Denmark in 1825 and today forms part of the Rosendahl Design Group. This vase is part of the Holmegaard Gulvvase series (meaning floor vase), introduced in the early 1960s.
The minimalist silhouette and saturated hues embody the Danish modernist aesthetic of the time.
