A Cape brass coffee mug, T.C. Falck, Robertson, early 20th century
with rolled rim and applied strap handle, stamped 'T.C. FALCK, MAKER ROBERTSON', 10 cm high
Notes
Thomas Falck was born in Robertson in 1898 and learnt the copper-smith's trade as an apprentice in the workshop of F.J. Staal.
The Cape mug was made either of copper or brass, it was used for liquids and for measuring out dry goods such as meal or beans.
