Notes

Rodney Band was born in South Africa and grew up in Israel. He specializes in creating large sculptural bowls hand-hewn from carefully sourced logs which are characterized by unique colour and character.

Wild olive wood is known for its strength and durability. It is a dense hardwood, which makes it resistant to wear and tear. Olive wood also has a fine grain and a beautiful appearance, which adds to its appeal for crafting items like furniture, kitchen utensils, and fine decorative pieces.

Band has exhibited extensively in South Africa and abroad, including shows at EBONY Curated, Franschhoek, Southern Guild and Maison & Objet, Paris. He continues to collaborate with leading interior designers such as ARRC, OKHA, Black Pear and Cecile & Boyd.
