David Nieuwoudt - Cederberg Cellars - Teen die Hoog Shiraz Vertical 2018 - 2020

This vertical vintage collection of the venerated Cederberg Teen die Hoog Shiraz comprises two bottles each of the 2018, 2019 and 2020 vintages contained in a wooden box. A wine followed each year by buyers from across the globe on the Cape Winemakers Guild auction, the TDH Shiraz has performed consistently since 2004, with the 2019 vintage achieving the distinction of fetching the top price on the 2021 auction, making for a highly covetable and exceptional lot.

The wine was named ‘Teen die Hoog’ by the workers on the farm because they see this elevated, south-easterly-facing vineyard as their toughest pick of the season. Each vintage the grapes are hand-harvested at optimal phenolic ripeness at the beginning of April after a long, slow ripening period.
