About this Item

Saint-Julien, 1996
3 (1 x 3) 750ml

The estate of Léoville Poyferré dates back to 1638 when it was the largest domain in the Médoc. The estate’s vineyard practices were well ahead of their time, and are in fact still widely used today. Léoville Poyferré was recognized as a Second Classified Growth in 1855 and has always been one of the most prestigious estates of this terroir.

Critics Ratings

'Blackberry, mineral and citrus fruit aromas. Full-bodied, with slightly angular tannins, but fruity, with a pleasant tobacco undertone on the finish. Just coming around' - James Suckling Winespectator.com 90/100 (2007)
