A rare rectangular bronze plaque depicting Eve standing beneath the Tree of Knowledge, holding an apple in one hand and reaching towards a fruit-bearing branch with the other. Lajos Berán was a Hungarian sculptor, medallist and coin designer known particularly for his portrait medals, commemorative plaques and numismatic work.
