About this Item
Notes
This magnificent sideboard showcases the exceptional craftsmanship for which H.W. Klein's designs are renowned. The richly figured book-matched rosewood veneers across the cupboard doors create a symmetrical grain pattern that celebrates the natural beauty of the timber. The sculpted recessed drawer and door pulls, as well as the mitred corner joints, reflect the uncompromising attention to detail that established Bramin as one of Denmark's leading furniture manufacturers during the 1960s.
Bramin (also known as Bramin Møbler) was based in Bramming, Denmark, and was famous for producing mid-century modern Scandinavian furniture.
While the company was thoroughly Danish, they were famous for collaborating closely with the prominent Norwegian-born designer Henry Walter (H.W.) Klein, who studied interior design at the prestigious Frederiksberg Tekniske Skole in Copenhagen under the well-known Danish architect and interior designer Finn Juhl.
