Notes
The radiating form of this clock echoes the interest in space exploration, nuclear science and optimistic vision that characterised post war design. Westclox Scotland was a major clock manufacturing plant located in Dumbarton, Scotland as an overseas branch of the American Westclox brand. They produced over 50 million mechanical timepieces before closing in 1988.
