About this Item
This lot consists of the following wines:
Alphonse Mellot La Moussière Sancerre Rouge 2012
Alphonse Mellot La Moussière Sancerre Rouge 2013
Alphonse Mellot is one of Sancerre’s aristocratic names, a family of growers stretching back to 1513, based at the Domaine de la Moussière. La Moussière is its flagship red, a barrel-aged Pinot Noir of unusual seriousness and depth for the appellation, grown on old vines on calcareous marl. This lot pairs two consecutive vintages: the 2012, from a good Loire year, and the 2013, an excellent Sancerre vintage prized for its purity and tension.
