"The dreamy 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo seduces with a classic bouquet of crushed rocks, violets, lavender, hints of blood orange and nuanced strawberry fruits. It envelops the palate with textural, ripe wild berries that give way to a caking of minerality that creates a crunchy feel toward the close. Elegant to the very end, the 2020 finishes lightly structured with concentration, yet also dazzling floral perfumes that linger impossibly long. This is simply stunning and a perfectly complete Montepulciano." - Eric Guido, Vinous, 93/100 (Aug 2022)
"Impenetrable crimson. Pure blackberry fruit on the nose with a subtle layer of liquorice powder and bags of minerals. With aeration, notes of wild strawberry emerge. Gorgeous lift of blackberry fruit on the palate and firm but finely ground tannins that go on and on. Very long and gripping finale." - Walter Speller, JancisRobinson.com, 17.5/20 (Jun 2023)
