Critics Ratings

"Tasted blind. Quite obvious sweet oak on the nose. Lascombes? Big, bold and beefy with chewy tannins." - Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, 16/20 (Feb 2022)

"A bright juniper note leads off, followed quickly by a mix of warmed cassis, steeped plum and blackberry compote flavors. Silky and fine-grained in feel from start to finish, with a late flurry of singed wood, savory and dark tea details on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot." - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, 93/100 (Mar 2021)

"The 2018 Lascombes is plush and racy in the glass. Soft contours enmeshed with silky tannins give this juicy Margaux so much immediacy. Inky dark blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, chocolate and new oak abound. This is an especially flamboyant, forward style, but it all works quite well. Best of all, the 2018 will drink well with just a few years in bottle." - Antonio Galloni, Vinous, 93/100 (Mar 2021)
