Notes
Part of a group of Chinese export porcelain recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East Indiaman Geldermalsen, which sank in the South China Sea in 1751. The cargo, known as the “Nanking Cargo”, was salvaged by Captain Michael Hatcher and is regarded as one of the most significant shipwreck porcelain recoveries of the 20th century.
