Emmanuel de Santa Coloma was a sculptor primarily known for his animalier works, specializing in horses and equestrian figures. He regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1863 and 1870, gaining recognition for his detailed and dynamic representations of animals. Santa Coloma’s sculptures reflect the 19th century French tradition of animalier art, combining naturalistic detail with a sense of movement and vitality.
