About this Item
A Vertical of 6 x 750ml bottles of Strydom Daniéle Chenin Blanc, comprising one bottle of each of the following vintages: 2018-2023
The Danièle Chenin Blanc was the first white wine added to the Strydom portfolio a few years later than our reds and has always been made in small volumes. These vineyards are grown high on the slopes of the Helderberg mountain with a very low yield which allows for exceptional concentration on the fruit.
We hand-harvest early in the morning into small lug boxes which we take straight to the winery for whole bunch pressing. After settling the juice ferments in 1 x 500 litre Amphora and 2 x 500 litre neutral French oak barrels. Maturation for 8 months before bottling.
Flavours of white peach and pears with honey, oats, lime zest and wet stone are dominant on the nose with the palate minerally and textured with a balanced acidity.
This wine is packed in a wooden box.
